Overall I’m satisfied with my fridge! Just bought a camper van and wanted an entry level fridge to test the functionality of the concept in general. So far so good! I’ve used it in the van for a couple weekends, as well as my basement for a party. Haven’t used the 12v plug for extended time on the weekend though. I’ve had access to power outlets at my site.My biggest complaint is the control panel is basically touch screen. So any small nudge adjusts something. I’m have to put some sort of a tape across it when it’s between my front seats when I’m driving.I plan on babying this thing and make it last forever, because it’s definitely not engineered to last forever. No offense to the company, it’s just the way it is.. Put cold drinks in it as much as possible. If you’re planning on putting liquor in it, store it in the freezer before putting it in this fridge.Oh and the spring loaded handles are a bit weird.Happy travels! After using a plug-in cooler type for a year, I decided this was the year to switch and buy a proper compressor fridge style cooler. Not wanting to spend close to or over a thousand dollars my search led me down this path, and after seeing a review from an RV'ing couple on the larger capacity model, I ordered the 40L one myself. This will act as basically a fridge on board my sailboat. It feels very solid, and has some really strong springs for the handles as well as the door latch. I don't imagine I will accidentally open the lid by bumping it. It does cool pretty quickly, as advertised. I had gone from 84 degrees down to 40 in about a half hour, which is plenty fine for what I need. Seems to be plenty of room as well, though I agree that it doesn't seem like the 40 L capacity is quite accurate as far as usable storage goes. I got this one because it wasn't as tall, and my needs are more for bottles of water and light duty sandwich meat storage and such, but for more regular use it might be better to have the larger one. Comparing it to the volume of space in my Koolatron 27.5L cooler, it actually feels about the same.Pros:* Cools pretty quick* Handles seem very sturdy, and can be left off for space saving* Included household adapter is a good value* 12v cord is about 10' long, plenty of reach* Includes a voltage chart to let you know the power saving settingsCons:* A bit on the heavy side when empty, but it does have a compressor. Still, moving when full is tough* Rubber feet on the bottom can mark some surfaces* Screws don't have threaded inserts in the casing, just thread into the plastic directly* Owners manual is pretty thin and basic (though there really isn't much else that needs explaining)* Temperature display is hard to read in direct light* Display also does not turn off. AT ALL. Whenever the unit is plugged in, the display is on, even if you have it in standby mode. And while it is hard to read in direct light, the LEDs for the rest are quite bright, especially in darker rooms.* Needs strong power - Some vehicles may need to have a direct line wired to either the cooler plug itself, or a dedicated 12v outlet. I've seen reviews of these and others mentioning the E1 low voltage error. I used a generic 12v, 10a output adapter in my house and it tripped the error. I reset the unit and turned it down to the Low battery saver setting to adjust, and it's fine on that. All in all, it's hard to knock the value of this unit. It has little flaws but nothing that would cause me to be concerned for the operation. Granted it's new, and obviously cheaper than name brand units so time will tell. It's a basic unit, without all the bells and whistles but if those aren't needed, this is certainly a good value at half the price of many, or less. I do wish I had the cover for it, but I'll see how it does without for a bit and then decide on that.FOLLOW-UP EDIT:Just a follow up, I installed this on my sailboat with a 170 watt solar panel and 400+ amp hour 12v battery bank, and let it run 24/7 for the last three months of the season before I pulled it from duty. It worked flawlessly the entire time with no excess heat, no noises creeping up, no issues at all. It would very rarely trip the low voltage when I had multiple things drawing on the battery like inverters and such, but that's to be expected. And it would automatically kick back on as soon as the other loads disconnected. This is not an issue of the unit, but rather the house bank setup I have. Operation-wise, solid as a rock, and never an issue with having a cold water waiting for me when I arrived.Works like a champ, so far so good. Quiet and seems to maintain consistent temp. My only question / comment is the smaller compartment near the control panel, doesn't get as cool as the main area, not sure why?? When set at 40.. the main zone was around 39, but the smaller zone came in a 55 ... I need to reach out to the manufacturer and see why.Great temputre control it. I was curious so stuck my thermometer in it was +/- 2 degree of the temp. This thing gets to -4f, super quite, the only thing that i would like better is if the fridge part was just cut out to be a extra space. And it is heavy like 25/30 pounds empty. Overall would buy again. This thing is great!! Cant believe it took me this long to buy one! Took up and down the east coast this year for vacation, saving drinks and food costs for the kids, preventing expensive and frequent food and drink stops along the way.Temp control could be a bit more accurate. I'm guessing the thermostat is build into the coils and not actually inside of the unit. You do have to set it pretty low to get to "actual" refrigerator performance, but once it's cool, it stays cool! When not in my car, makes a great beer fridge or a hiding spot for your goodies from the kiddos!!Just like the title says. Taken it out in a few trips now and the power draw is min and the temp stayed within 5deg or so. Very happy with this purchase. This is one of the higher priced items I have purchased via Amazon. $300 +/-Not happy, no Bluetooth controls, drinks 30 degrees or less for COLD drinks. Freezer is 2x + the size of the refrig.Know you will end up using this as a freezer or a frig NOT both!Inside is small and just like with a regular size frig you just cant load drinks to the max level and believe that every drink will be cold. (Maybe several days latter.)Its better then ice? Sure less messI wont go into power requirements as its based upon your settings. I link my drinks cold so I set it for 28-30 Degrees.I will be returning this one and buying the larger 55+, with Bluetooth (if for no other reason then the alert that something is not working) for the money and if you ever REALLY needed a freezer for long term you want one that has two separate doors and controls. This item is basically (to me) a very exp ice chest that will be going back as soon as I rec its replacement.Took it on a week long car trip, worked great
