I went on a 4 day 3 night float trip down the green River near Moab Utah. I froze all my water and on the morning of day 4 I still had ice (but it was miniscule) in some of the bottles. It was in the 90ies and the water was bath water warm.Leaked a little. Used it to store sleeping gear for over night kayak trip on a river. Luckily I used plasic bags on all my gear. Could have been a miserable night. Needs sealed around seems to keep water out. My friend had same problem with his. I towed it with a bungee cord as close to the back end of my kayak as i could get and it worked perfect. The bungee was better than a rope so I couldnt feel any jerks when the bungee got tight. Never tried to use it as a cooler yet but I think it would do a good job. It’s a great idea and I really like it. However, I put a 20 Pound bag of ice in mine and it didn’t even last 5 hours on the water. All the ice melted and we ended up having to dump it out because the water made it hard to pull behind. Overall great concept but needs some work on the insulation partGreat cooler for the river. You will never worry about this one popping. Keeps drinks ice cold. Went on a 3 hour kayak trip. Still had plenty of ice. This cooler is a great value for the money. Very sturdy. We will get many years of use. Thank you for making this cooler. Some of my friends have purchased this cooler too. This cooler is well worth the 5 stars. We filled the cooler with three 7 lb bags of ice, a 12 pack of slim cans, 2 body armor bottles, and a big water bottle. The second picture shows we still had some room in the cooler. I hooked the Creekkooler to my 10’ kayak using a carabiner (see first picture), as I read to not keep it too far behind. Hauling was easier than expected, although I felt little “tugs” every time the cooler countered the wake behind me. Still easy to get to our island (10 min paddle across river). We brought the cooler back, left it outside and checked it next morning (see last picture), still had ice. This cooler did its job perfectly. Next time, I will try to keep it a little closer to my kayak to avoid the small drag.Decided to return this, pretty disappointed in the quality. Could really be an awesome product but not enough effort has been put into the build quality especially at the price point.I will say that I had no problem opening and closing the lid contrary to many reviews.I filled it with water and water was gushing out of the seems on all sides especially around the rivets. Not even close to water tight.O-ring is so poorly attached to the inside of the lid that i could permanently dislodge it with one finger and almost no effort.Backside handle hole was cracked on arrival - maybe because it doesn’t come shipped in any kind of box so of course it took some abuse during shipping and probably broke. I’m not going to rely on a cracked handle to lift this thing up once it is full of ice and drinks. It’s unfortunate because all of the issues I have just could be fixed with some better overall effort from the manufacturer, the fundamental concept is great. Hopefully someone else decides to build something like this and does it better.I finally broke down and bought myself a white 30qt Creekcooler after about 6 months of debating with myself if it's worth the money and reading / watching reviews due to it being a $150 cooler.Let me start off by saying I made the right choice and finally went for it as a birthday gift to myself. I recieved it days earlier than I was suppose to. Now even though I haven't tested it out yet. Kayaking season is only a couple of months away. When taking it out of the box it was way bigger than I thought & expected which wasn't bad thing. Built with a strong thick plastic material like my kayak, it looks like it can take a hit or 2 if Im going through small class 1 rapids with my kayak & the storage it has is incredible even if using it as a dry storage or a few cases of beer on a sunny day on the sandbar.Few cons though. The rope handles that are on there one already busted and became lose when I tugged on it with a leash hooked to it for when pulling it behind my kayak. So I had to use some paracord and make myself stronger and better tied handles. Also replaced the string on the lid with paracord as well just in case after the handle came undone. But the biggest issue I have with my Creekcooler is I have a REALLY hard time trying to twisting and closing the lid. It doesnt always line up and I have to push down and trying to get it to twist after many failed attempts to the point to where I have forced it on. It's kind of irritating because I wont be able to push down that hard when I'm on the water in my kayak or I'll more then likely tip and than capsize and I really dont want that & I've pitched the tips of my fingers multiple times while trying to close it as well. I'm not sure it theres something wrong with mine or not but I feel it should be this hard to put a lid on.So besides the lid issue and the struggle Im having when closing it along with the worry I have of capsizing because of this is why it's not getting a 5 star rating. Over all it's amazing cooler & good buy. I'm glad I finally made the decision to get it.This cooler keeps ice well. The lid can be a bit finicky to put on. Not to bad but you want to make sure the threads align well. The nose of it will dip under the water if you are paddling fast and you need to be mind full of how you load it. Other then those minor issues I really like it alot and would recommend one for any aquatic activity.Cons; Very difficult to tow behind you. I used this with my kayak and it would not pull straight. I tried longer rope and very short rope. It just zigzags behind. I tried arranging the item inside different and tried it with nothing in it. The lid when properly aligned is watertight. It is very difficult to thread on correctly on land. In the water it’s extremely difficult.Pros; holds lots of beer/ food. It was really heavy but it stayed afloat. It wasn’t super hot out but it kept everything cold for three days. Even though it zigzagged it wasn’t hard to pull.( even in pretty nautical conditions)This product needs refinement. I love the idea but it needs a better lid , a “hitch” hole or rigging point and it needs to pull better.Excellent pour garder froid. Le seul problème que je trouve c’est que ça se promène vraiment croche a l’arrière de mon kayak... la glacière fait la rivière de gauche à droite non pas dans le sillon de mon kayak.Si non c’est très bien.Only used it on one trip, but it worked really well. Packed it with food for a camping trip and it was great to be able to hang it from a tree away from bears.Took it on an overnight kayak trip, worked great. It even flipped upside down once and everything stayed dry. Nice to have the extra space to carry gear. 4 stars because it is very difficult to open it on the river, you pretty much have to be on shore.I like the cooler design. Works well. I dislike the string mount for the lid. It busted the first time i used it. Now i have to tie the lid off to the hand rope which you carry the cooler with
