I bought this item as a maintenance item to have just in case. Today (way after the return period) I changed my oil and figured it was an opportunity to swap this gasket out. The OEM gasket rubber was one long oval. This one consists of 2 rubber circles in the middle. This gasket also was slightly smaller (fraction of an inch). I guess all of this made a difference since my tahoe started leaking oil (small puddle). I swapped out the gasket and installed the old one again....no more oil leak. You can chance it if you'd like, but I won't be purchasing one of these ever again. What a waste of time, trying to find the source of the leak.
