I connected this to my crock pot for sous vide cooking. It has worked perfectly, keeping the water temperature within a couple of degrees of the setting. It is an industrial component, however, and you have to wire it yourself--or get someone to do that. You also have to waterproof the sensor. Electrical shrink wrap worked for me. All in all I am completely happy with this temperature controller.
