Got this for husband for his lunches at work.He's an overhead lines clearance tree trimmer. So he needs something sturdy. His old cooler is one of the little box igloo with the flat lid and fold down handle. It finally broke. it served us well but it was time. Husband said he wanted something bigger. Something all his stuff can be put in. Less like lunch box more like a construction workers "briefcase"It is pretty big! Fits all his stuff(wallet, phone, etc) his lunch, ice block and still has room. Keeps stuff cool/cold pretty well too.This also has the button on the side instead of the handle one, very important imo.It's pretty sturdy so far. Said he dropped it the other day. I'll update if anything actually hurts it. Was a perfect father's day gift for a man who is hard to shop for. I love a useful gift the person will use daily.This cooler is a replacement for the Coleman cooler I took on my fishing trips. The Coleman did not have any sort of latch. The lid was simply held in place friction from the lid closing tightly. Well, the wind caught it one day and the lid flew open and off the cooler and on out of the boat.This Igloo cooler has a push button latch so no more issues lids flying open. I was concerned that since the lid isn’t insulated that the cooler may not keep my water and Gatorade cold for very long. Well, I was wrong. I come home from a day of summer fishing and the ice has barely melted any.Highly recommend!I've kinda beat the crap out this thing and its still together. (Trucker) Kinda bulky for a day cab in the older trucks but the new trucks coming out lately have a ton of space so shouldn't be an issue unless you're training somebody on the heavy side. And has a bigger box than you.My hubby works for the railroad & this is the perfect cooler for him. It's our 2nd one in 16 yrs. They last forever... the old one is still good, he just wanted a new one. Using old one for cookout & camping & riding....Purchase this for my daughter for volleyball season. I was looking for a new lunch box and seen a work mate with this style. He got it in America. I ordered mine with out checking the size, a 6.6L one would have been perfect for a lunch box, I was going to return in and exchange but this one is perfect for days out with the family. Keeps everything frosty (with ice packs). I'd recommend it any day, and from the seller I bought it from (in germany)Looks great, handle slides down, but doesn't keep things very cold.This is a well built and really handy designed cool box. Only niggle for me is the handle - not much space under it to get my thick fingers around it. The ergonomics should be looked at.
